Adult Skating for Fitness

HHFSC Ice Dance ClubHHFSC is sponsoring a 5 week series of sessions for adults who love to skate and  would like to pursue it as a means of fitness.  Cardio training, core strength, muscle toning, joint flexibility, balance improvement, low impact, one piece of equipment, stress relief, burn 300-650 calories per hour, socializing – it’s the perfect exercise! Ice skating provides all these benefits and most importantly, fun!

Join HHFSC’s Sunday morning sessions, run by adults for adults from 17 to 70+, to work on skills, and have fun.

A series of 5 sessions, starting 1/31/16, will run from 10:30 – 11:30 am at the Harvey School’s Evarts Rink, 240 Jay Street, Katonah, NY.  (No session on 2/14 because of the holiday weekend.)   Fee is $145 for 5 weeks and includes membership in the U.S. Figure Skating Association.  Unfortunately, no rentals are available so bring your skates!

Learn from former international competitors who have trained both figure skaters and hockey players, including Melissa Gregory, Michael Seibert, and Denis Petukhov.
